The first pertains to the joining of char- acte...rs, the second deals with single letters and the third relates to twelve forms of words where the vowels come after the consonants. It is advis- able to thoroughly understand each rule before proceeding to the following one.
RULE I.
In the joining of characters movement tends to the right upward or downward as convenience permits.
