^Hon. Harry Toulmin, born in Taunton, Eng. , 1766, was pastor of a Unitarian church in 1788. He came to Virginia and the next year became President of the Transylvania University of Lexington, Ky. He was Secretary of the State of Kentucky for eight years ; studied law, and compiled a code of laws for the State.
