Nevertheless, she knew that she would go to him for advice as soon as the BCHS representative dropped off the punch list of changes that had to be made “before work could proceed.” Without a word to anyone else, Petra packed her briefcase with all the necessary papers, grabbed a roll of blueprints and set out for Chatam House. It didn’t occur to her until she was climbing the stairs toward the second floor of the mansion that Dale might not be there.
