This little book, though very poorly printed, is shown because of its great historical interest. The latter portion of it, dealing with affairs in England during Stow's own lifetime, is the most important, and is a well-known source-book for that period. Stow had a morbid interest in murder and sudden death, as well as other horrors. He specializes in public executions.
