After thirty years have passed, it is natural that the teacher should look back and see if he can gather up any trophies of success. Some of those students have been sent, to Albany, to assist in making laws for the State. Some have been sent to Washington, to help make laws for the Xation. Others stand high in the clerical profession I will name but three Hiram Il...adcn of Cleveland, Ohio, Henry Duguid of Syracuse, N. Y. , and Frank Hiscock of Syracuse, N. Y. They all had their send-off from Pompey Hill. Frank Hiscock did not take a college course. Having good natural abilities, and not a super- abundance of means, he chose to enter upon his profession with only the education an academy could give. Most of us know what he has accomplished. I, for one, feel proud of him. So I do of all those, my former students, who have taken an advanced standing in society and given a good account of themselves.
