I can't understand why he spends so much time arguing with them instead of aiming his wrath at the true enemy—the Kingdom.
"Beware of the scribes," he says, "who like to walk around i...n long robes, and to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, and to have the best seats in the temple and places of honor at banquets! They devour widows' houses and, for the sake of appearance, say long prayers. They'll receive the greater condemnation."
