Being in this damn cabin wasn’t good enough. Having her hands pulling at his shirt, wanting him closer, just like she had done when they first kissed… that wasn’t good enough.
In his mind and heart Blake had no idea what would constitute good enough. Going back in time was simply impossible. There was only the seconds waiting to be lived. Whether those seconds added up to days, weeks, months, years, or more, didn’t matter because he couldn’t control that.

Blake tried to step back, but Maya stayed with him. The back of his legs hit the couch and he started to sit again. Maya was right there, right on him, pushing herself. They slowly fell back to the couch, Maya now on top of Blake. Their mouths were locked tight, the kiss better than Blake had ever tasted in his life. He was insanely jealous of any man that had gotten a chance to kiss Maya but he was determined to be the last one who did so. Nobody needed her sweet lips more than he did.
