Sect. 4. The following holidays shall be granted alike to all the schools: — Every Wednesday and Saturday after- noon ; New-Year's Day ; Washington's Birth-Day ; Fast Day; May Day; Independence Day, and Christmas Day; also the forenoon of the Saturday following either of the above holidays which may be celebrated on a Friday.
