First, send to all living members a black bordered card giving notice of his death. The size of this which has proved most convenient is the 6 x 6% inch. This is the largest size sheet which with one fold will go in the standard envelope, 6^4 X 3%. The information contained in this notice should be such that any classmate may know to whom he can send a note of sympathy if he desires so to do.
A brief obituary notice, compiled from the class record should be prepared and sent to the Cornell Alumni News.
