At a town meeting, " Voted, to raise a sum of money for the use of the destruction of the crows." ^ Voted, 12 cents and 5 mills on the head." '^ Voted, that the selectmen shall receive the heads and bum them, and give orders on the treasury for the bounty," (This bounty was afterwards increased to 20 cents, Dec. 12, 1803, but the vote was after* Digitized by VjOOQIC 1 16 ANNALS OF BAEER8T0WN, wards rescinded.)
