Budgetary studies of large numbers of workingmen's: families show that many workers pay as high as 90 cents per week and receive little- more than actual funeral expenses." ' By increasine; the efficiency of workers, promoting the prevention of accident and disease and reducing unemployment, there would be a gradual and continuous de- crease in the total cost of social insurance.
