That papei-, under date of the 15th instant, makes the welcome announcement, that the Whig sentiment there cordially approves his position, and is deeply impressed with the necessity and propriety of his nomi- nation. These facts, well authenticated and reliable, clearly establish how idle it is to insist that such a nomination will weaken the Whig party in New England ; nay, how idle it is to insist that it will not thereby be substantially strengthened.
