How far this territorial aggrandizement shall extend, its projectors have not specified ; but they unquestionably intend, if possible, to rear about Charles River a gigantic metropolis, vying in numbers and extent with New York and Philadelphia ; from which they anticipate a proportionable increase of wealth, wisdom, strength, and influence.
