WITH regard to the first question, it is thought that now is not the time to make a definite statement on the subject.
2. With regard to the second question, some time ago the British Government asked the Imperial Government whether they had any objection to the lease of Wei-hai Wei by Great Britain from China after the withdrawal of the Imperial troops from that place.
