Will looked bad, sallow and exhausted, and he was touchier than he’d been before—not with Terri-Jo, but with the world in general. But Will’s irritability was no less puzzling than the truck that he and Gooz arrived in. It wasn’t a trailer truck, a van, or a panel truck, but a candy-apple-red pickup with a rollbar and enameled gunwales. It lacked markings identifying it as an EU vehicle.
