This Design is well adapted to a small rural district, where there are no trees in the immediate vicinity of the school-house. The wide roofs and gables give it a cool, shady, home-like appearance which is at once attractive, and in harmony with the objects of its construction. A wing for a wood-room may be added to the rear, without marring the harmony of the design. This kind of struc- ture is admirably adapted to exposed sunny situations.
