FRANasco DOMINGUEZ RoldAn was bom in Havana on the fifteenth of Febru- ary, 1864. His early studies indicated his native bent, for he studied first in the Colegio of Esculapius in Guanabacoa, later going to the University of Havana where in 1884 he obtained the degree of Licen- tiate in Medicine and from there went to Ma/lrid to obtain the degree of Doctor in the University.
