HOECHLE (Hechle), JOHANN NEPO- MUK, born in Munich in 1790, died in Vi- enna, Dec. 12, 1835. History painter, pupil of Munich Academy under Kobell, and of Vienna Academy under Fiiger and Dies. In 1815 went to Paris with the Austrian Emperor, and in 1819 to Rome and Naples, Li 1833 he succeeded his father, Johann Baptist, as court-painter at Vienna.
