The glass for prism and object glasses has been secured and a contract entered into with Grubb on May 7 for the construction of the whole. I fancy the whole gift means at least 8000.
I need hardly say that, subject to the approval of the Admiralty, I have cordially and gratefully accepted this splendid gift. . . .
