Maybe he slept somewhere else.” “Why would he do that?” Chris asked. “We all been sleepin’ in that barn.” They were in a small saloon not far from the stockyards, sitting at a table with a bottle of whiskey in front of them, and four glasses—only three of which had the amber liquid in them.
