This chest is made of a poplar body and is well reinforced with corner irons and hinge bands. The exterior dimensions of the chest are 18. 1 by 14. 6 by 6. 6 inches. The chest contains in a compact form the oils, spare parts, and tools required for the cleaning and repair of the rifles and pistols and in addition contains a supply of neats- foot oil for preserving leather equipments, including shoes. On the inside of the lid of each chest is posted a list of its contents.
