On page 174 of a German Text-book (The u Construc- teur" by Reuleaux), edition of 1801, will be found full illustrations of rubber fillings, wheel sections, etc. , iden- tical with those described in the American Patent No. 61, 554 of Jan. 29th, 1867, in which Mr. Richmond bought a sixteenth interest for twenty dollars, and con- stituting the sole foundation upon which he proposes to collect a royalty from our customers.
