Doctor Jenks argued for commercial education in colleges, basing his theory upon certain premises: " I should say that the study of business was a humanistic study, for the type of training that a student would receive from following a course in business adminis- tration, if it were properly taught, would be quite the same as that received from the study of economics, political science and ethics.
I have thought that there is no reason why the study of business in our colleges might not be given substantially the same rank as that given to special epochs in history or to economics or to the science of government.
