The chlorohydrate of ethylammonia, perfectly dried, is mixed with double its weight of quicklime, and introduced into a long tube closed at one end, so as to fill one-half of it ; and the other half being filled with fragments of caustic potassa, a disengagement- tube, which enters a flask surrounded by a refrigerating mixture, is adapted to it.
