I'd never seen this level of anger in him before, and for a second, it worried me. A faint smile traced Chase's lips, but his eyes were still blank. "I don't even know why I care. You two obviously fucking deserve each other." His tone was laced with malice and the look he passed between Jason and me was starting to make me angry."What do you mean by that?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him. "Just what I said, Cara." He ran his hand through his hair again. "I have no damn clue why I've been pinning for you for so long.
