This is one of the ob- jects of the blessing: "Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me/' A witness is supposed to tell what he knows; and the more controverted the matter is, the m;ore import- ant it is that there should be reliable witnesses, to tell what they know, in order to confirm the truth.
