} Elements of Symmetry. Here the six secondary planes and the six axes of binary symmetry are lost. The elements of symmetry which remain are, there- fore, three principal planes parallel to the planes of the crystallographic axes, four trigonal axes, and also the center of symmetry. Figure 99 shows these elements as well as the application of the hemihedrism, which will be discussed in the next paragraph.

2) Also termed pentagonal or parallel-face hemihedrism, having reference to the pentagonal outline and parallel arrangement of the faces, respectively.
DYAKISDODECAHEDRAL CLASS.
33 faces or pairs of faces are then symmetrical to the three principal planes of symmetry, figure 99.
