With this conclunon coincides the expression, that ** at the return of the year Nebukhadreszar sent and fetched Jeconiah to Babylon ; '' 2 Ohron. zxzvL 10. Thus, Jeooniah's r^;n ends vrith the 11th regnal year of Jehoiakim his fiither, and his captivity is registered as commencing with the reign of his successor Zedekiah.
Accordingly, the years of Jehoiakim and Zedekiah (like those of Jodah and Jehoiakim, already remarked upon) succeed one another without any odd time, or fraction of a year, in...tervening. Jehoiakim's rdgn has 11 years counted to it (2 Kings zxiii. 36 ; 2 Ghron. xxvi. 5) whereof the last eight are the firat eight years of Nebukhadremar, because the fburth of them, as we have seen (Jerem. xxv. 1) was counted the first of Nebukhadrezzar. Moreover, the 10th and 11th regnal years of Jehoiakim's successor Zedekiah are counted the 18th and 19th regnal years of Nebukhadrezzar (Jerem. xxxii. 1 ; Hi. 12 ; 2 Kings xxv. 8).
Therefore, these ordinals denote the last years of the two totals, 8 years and 10 and 8 years and 11, without acknowledging any intervening space for Jeooniah.
