Henry Mor- daunt was 23 years of age, and his noble spirit is sufficiently evidenced by the fact, that while at Gibraltar he saved the lives of two men, at the imminent peril of his own, by swimming from Europa Point, when no other person would venture in a boat or otherwise, on account of the extreme roughness of the sea.
