Now I cannot fay in particular how many Diflerences of Wit arife by reafon of the in-- tenfe Degrees of each of thefe three Qualities ; but I muft firft deduce, and recount all the Operations of the Underftanding, Imagina« tion, and Memory ; then amongft fo many, you are to know there are three principal Aftions of the Underftanding : The Firft is, to Difcourfe; the Second, to Diftinguifli; and the Third, to Chufe.
