... May 21, 1850. He was educated at Rugby School, 1864-68, and Wadham College, Oxford, where he graduated B. A. In 1872. He was articled to his father as a solicitor in Leamington; was admitted in 1876, and at once taken into partnership by his father. In 1878 he was appointed deputy to his father as clerk of the peace for the county, to be followed in 1889 as deputy clerk of the County Council on the creation of the new county authority, and now practically discharges the duties of those offices.
