The policy engendered in these communities is necessarily agrarian ; and the human race deteriorates, physically. I feel it to be incumbent on my- self to say all I can for emigration to the West ; and for the same reason I have come to look on a high protective Tariff as a great sin, Princeton', Juhj 30, 1838.
