I give here a method of dealing with wire-worm which I copied from a farming publication : — "The best treatment for wire-worm is a heavy dressing of gas-lime fresh from the gas-works.
The quantity usually applied for this purpose is from six to ten tons per acre, but, if extremely badly infested, a larger dressing may be advisable.
