She wasn’t happy with the turn of events. “You’re upset,” he said to her after a few minutes. “I didn’t tell Trace to go with them. I think my mother invited him to go and what little boy doesn’t want to spend time with their loving grandparents?” She didn’t answer because she had no idea what kids did with... grandparents. She didn’t know hers and she was pretty sure that her parents wouldn’t have let them go to stay with them anyway. There was too much they could have told them. “Grace, come over here and kiss me.” She glared at him and didn’t move. “Okay, I’ll come to you.” He slid across the expanse of the seat and sat beside her. Before she could react, she was straddling his lap and he was tugging at the zipper at the side of her dress. She grabbed a handful of his hair and yanked hard to stop him.
