in Chemistry can be granted, the applicant must have had at least INDIANA UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA 2007-2008 GRADUATE CATALOG 78 COLLEGE OF NATURAL SCIENCES AND MATHEMATICS three years of full-time employment in an approved area of chemistry. Only those years of employment after obtaining the bachelor's degree may be counted. This experience, in addition to the final six credits being taken at lUP, meets the university and departmental residency requirements.

III. Course Electives (10 to 16 cr.) Any graduate-level courses selected from the natural sciences and mathematics with the permission of the candidate's advisor.
Special permission from the Chemistry Department's Graduate Committee will be required for courses outside the sciences.
IV. Thesis Requirements (0 or 4 cr.) The student has two options: A.
