Note throughout the South Shore the old colonial houses still preserved in this region with enormous central chimneys and ornamental front doors with fanlights.
Coming to Marshfield we may see the country home of Daniel Webster, and his tomb with the epitaph dictated by Webster him- self in the small graveyard in the rear of the house.
