They continued toward the nest and when they were within 15 yards of the position the enemy again opened fire, killing Private Sharp's companion, thereupon Private Sharp dashed straight at the enemy emplacement, shooting one gunner, bayo- neting two others and capturing four, together with three machine-guns.
