Yet with all that may be accomplished through other agencies, there remains much which can best be achieved through this means. What is needed is a more profound appreciation of the moral duty of the school, and a full recognition of its character as a socializing agency. Through the school mainly can the individual be expected to arrive at anything like an adequate understanding of the sig- nificance of the larger relations of mature life.
