THE ADAMS HOUSES.
About half a mile from the center of Quincy, in a southerly direction, on the old Plymouth road, here called Hancock Street, stands the quaint old Adams Houses, the one at the right being the birthplace of John Adams, built in 17 16, as is inferred from that date on a brick in the old chimney.
The other is the birthplace of his son, John Quincy Adams.
The former is now used by the Daughters of the Revolu- tion and the latter by the Quincy Historical Society.
