Tallmadge, and in February, 1815, was elected by the Legislature United States Senator for the fuH term, commencing the 1th of March foUowing. He sub- sequently held the office of Attorney General of the State, and was holding the appointment of United States District Attor- ney for the Southern District of Xew York at the time of his death- William Seymour resided in Windsor for many years.
