I FIRST MEETING HOUSE. 85 The question relative to the place of location, which had agitated the inhabitants several months, being thus finally settled, the first measures for the erection cf the house were taken in October, when it was " Voted to build a meeting-house for the public worship of God, and that said house shall be fifty foots long and forty foots wide.
