For a particular description of the " symptoms, which peculiarly marked th(5 disease, " the reader is referred to the '• Century Sermon, delivered in Holliston, by Rev. Charles Fitch, December 4, 1826. " The whole number who died of this fatal malady in Holliston, was 53; in Sherburne, between 20 and 30. This visitation upon Holliston has been considered by some, as a special judgment of Providence upon the inhabitants, for the litigious spirit, which was then preva- lent among them, which fled before the pestilence, and which, since that time, has seldom made its appearance.
