What reading level is History of St Edmunds College Old Hall book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:
In the event, this took place within six months, Bishop Bramston's feebleness of constitution render- ing it imperatively necessary that his coadjutor should reside in London, and in April, 1834, Dr. Griffiths formally resigned the presidency of the college into the hands of Dr. Newell. Thus closed the period of nearly sixteen years, which may be looked on as the most prosperous St. Edmund's has ever had. Bishop Bramston survived only two years after this. He died at the priest's house at South...ampton, whither he had gone for rest and change, on July nth, 1836. His body was taken to London and buried in the clergy vault at Moor- fields. Bishop Griffiths succeeded as Vicar Apostolic, and during the remaining eleven years of his life his zeal and charity had a larger and more important field of work than when he was President of St. Edmund's. He continued his interest in the college, and one of the chief works of his episcopate was the erection of the new chapel. Of this and his other works as bishop we shall speak in the next chapter.
