Tinker became its pastor and labored one fourth of the time for one year. Elder Gill again be- came pastor for a season and was succeeded by elder J. M. Stickney, who had come S* 84 LAFAYETTE.
from Wisconsin, and originally from N. Y. He continued his labors until April 16, 1818, when he was dismissed, with eight others, including elder Gill, to go into a new organization at Toulon. After dis- missing so many members to form new churches, this church had 21 members. These was much scattered.
