The Pequots were then bound by Covenant, That none should in- habit their native Country, nor should any of them be called Pequots any more, but Moheags and Narragan- setts forever. Shortly after, about Forty of them went toMoheag; others went to Long Island; the rest set- tled at Pawcatuck, a Place in Pequot Country, con- trary to their late Covenant and Agreement with the English.
