His father enlisted in 1862 from Champaign county, Ohio, as a member of Com- pany V, Sixty-sixth Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and served for about a year and a half, being discharged on account of disabilities arising from wounds. Mr. Miller has given his hearty support to the Republican party but is not a partisan in any sense of the word, always casting his ballot for the... best men in local affairs, irrespective of their political affiliations.
