He dashed off about half-a-dozen verses of such remarkably witty and clever point, that they were received with roars of applause, and an unanimous request for distribu f ion ; but this he positively refused, and put them up, with one or two other poems of more innocent wit, in which he was fond uf indulging, into h-is pocket.
