"Mr. Tilden was one of those Anti-Slavery Democrats who, in 1848, defeated and crushed Gen. Cass, because he would, not go with them for the Wilmot Proviso. Now he writes letters encouraging treason and stimulating disunion, because a conservative old Whig, like honest Abe Lincoln, is on Tuesday next to be elected President.
