As the tender bumped against the landing, they both disappeared from the box. That was the last I could make out of the quarrelsome but kind- hearted pair.
* Don't I wish I were a boy, Tom,* Jos6 had remarked as we parted. Didn't I wish she had 88 HUNTING FOR GOLD been one also, for I wouldn't have been much afraid of going anywhere with her.
