This morning in the ocean he’d reached out to touch her sweet face, and then he’d leaned forward to graze her downy cheek. She’d frowned and shoved him away. Why didn’t Bixie like him? “Stop right there,” Thuy called to the unsavory birds. “Where are you from?”
The biggest one cawed his harsh response, sending along a telepathic signal that made the sounds into words.
